Makeup Tutorial Using My Favorite Products!

Hi there! I loved having everyone’s input on what to write about for my next post. So, here it is! I am going to show you my favorite products and show you how to use them! So, let’s dive in!

First, I like to prime my face. I used the Master Prime Blur + Smooth by Maybelline. While the primer is drying I started on my eyes.

I used the 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer. There are a lot good eye shadow primers out there. I’m liking this Smashbox one right now because it works well with my oily eye lids. My go to, every day eyeshadow is my Naked 2 palette or my eyeshadows from theBalm cosmetics. I have received 3 samples in my Ipsy Bags, and I LOVE them.

I put the color Tease from the Naked palette in the crease of my lid. I blended Meet Matt(e) Trimony over the color tease and blended it out with a brush with no eyeshadow on it.

After that, I added the color Booty call from the Naked Palette and put it on the lid. I used a flat sturdy brush to add this color to make it pop more. I also added it to the corner of my eyes. Then I used a eyeshadow brush without eyeshadow on it to blend it out.

I used the color Foxy from the Naked Palette under my brow bone and lightly went over that with the color Booty call to highlight the brow bone. Lastly for the eyes, I used the crease/smudge brush I got out of my Ipsy bag and used the flat end to apply Meet Matt(e) Trimony on my bottom lash line. Most people apply eye liner, but lately I have been going without. Don’t get me wrong, I love eyeliner. I guess I have been too lazy to deal with it. haha.

After the eye shadow I start my face make up. I normally use my Beauty Blender, or the L’Oreal Infallible Beauty Blender. They both work great! The Beauty Blender will always be my number one sponge and I will continue to purchase it, but it is $20, where the L’Oreal is only $7.99.  Both need to be wet before using. Make sure you don’t drench them in water, and make sure to squeeze all excess water out before applying foundation.

After that, I set/baked my face, starting with under my eyes with the RCMA No-Color Powder. This powder is the best…ever. I may look like a crazy person after using it, but it works like a charm! I used my contour palette from wet n wild. My favorite drug store product ever! I apply the darker contour to my cheek bone up to my ears, and a little around my forehead, temples and under my chin. Then I set/baked the rest of my face with the RCMA powder.

I dusted the RCMA Powder away, I applied a little of the e.l.f blush in Cabo to my cheeks, and highlighted my face. My favorite 2 highlights are the Illuminating Palette by wet n wild, and the baked highlighter in the color Bellissima by Dirty little secret cosmetics. In this tutorial I used the Illuminating palette. I put it on my brow bone, on the top of my cheeks going up to the temple, my cupid’s bow, and the tip of my nose.

The last thing I do, is mascara, brows and lips. I used the Curling & Lengthening Mascara by Marcelle. I don’t do a ton with my brows. I brush them and sometimes use the eyebrow treatment by e.l.f, and the Gimme Brow by benefit. In this look I used the both.

Here, you can see how mascara can change the entire look. Love mascara!

Now on to lips! I have quite the lipstick, lip liner, and liquid lipstick collection. It is becoming a problem. 🙂 BUT, my go to are the Milani color statement lipliner in 09 Spice and the Liquid Lipstick from OFRA in Pasadena. Sadly, I am just about out of the Pasadena, so the next best one for this look is the soft matte lip cream in the color Rome, by NYX.

And I am done! 🙂

I have a lot of favorite products, but I use different ones for different looks. For a pinky, neutral look, these products are my go to!
