Real Talk

I have this sense of urgency right now and I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. I just wish I could go on the top of the tallest mountain and just scream I love you. Right now there’s so much controversy and negativity that I think it’s clouding many people’s joy. Past events and current ones are causing fear.

For a moment can we all just think about each other and put ourselves in each other’s shoes? I am not just talking about the recent tragedies and events that have happened in the United States, I’m talking about our lives in general. If you’re reading this know that you’re important. I can’t express enough how much we need to work together right now. I wish I could show you what I mean, I wish I had better words to express this feeling of urgency. I feel like I can’t gather my thoughts or my emotions clearly enough to tell you that love is so important.

Love is not just an emotion but it’s an action. You are loved. You are needed to love. There is a time for everything, but a time for love is always. Love knows no limits. Love produces joy, comfort, and hope. The popular scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is not just a saying that you hear at weddings; it is a scripture that is so important. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Know that you are important. You are loved. You have a purpose. You are capable of loving others, and accepting love.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14
